RainbowSync

Your Files

Available anytime, anywhere, on the web and/or Notes client.

Audience

Companies wanting to easily and securely share files on the web and/or Lotus Notes.

Trust the cloud with RainbowSync technology.

Imagine a rainbow protecting your files in the cloud (Internet). RainbowSync securely imports your corporate folders and files and makes it accessible on the web and/or Lotus Notes, only to those you grant access.

How does it work?

  • 1. Import your folders/files into a secure database. RainbowSync creates a mirror image of the folder structure and attaches all files with key information (filesname, size, date/time).
  • 2. Synchronize them to the Web server (Domino). RainbowSync uses synchronization with compression to quickly move your information to one or more web servers. RainbowSync encryption protects your information between servers, Lotus Notes clients and any web device.
  • 3. Create web logins.  Easily create user-id's and passwords for the people you wish to have access to the files.
  • 4. Access your files. Via the web or Notes client, access your files using the same folder hierarchy you're used to on your pc.
  • 5. Poll for changes. RainbowSync can monitor file servers for changes or you can click a button to import adds, updates, and deletions.

There are three (3) types of participants:

  • 1. Content Manager Participants - Using a Lotus Notes client, they import and maintain folders and files and replicate the database locally. They manage the Notes and Web participants and determine which participants can see which top-level (root) folders  There can be one or more Content Managers.
  • 2. Lotus Notes Participants - Views and replicates the database using their Notes client. They can only see and replicate the top level (root) folders which they are a member of.  For collaboration the can post both Notes and Web responses.  These users are restricted from viewing and using Content Manager features.  There can be unlimited Lotus Notes participants.
  • 3. Web Participants - Via a web client (e.g., Internet Explorer, Firefox, iPhone, BlackBerry) they only see the top level (root) folders which they are a member of.  They can see and post web responses (they cannot see Notes responses).  There can be unlimited Web participants.
